Understanding our fees

Southern Doctors Clinic is a mixed billing practice. Consultation fees vary depending on the type and length of your appointment.

Eligible patients may be bulk billed for GP consultations. Our specialists operate separately and do not bulk bill.

We believe it is important you know what to expect before your appointment, so our current fees are available on our Fees page.

Transferring your medical records

If you're changing medical practices, you may choose to have your previous medical records transferred to Southern Doctors Clinic.

This can be particularly helpful if you have an ongoing health condition, complex medical history or regular medications.

Complete our Medical Records Transfer Form and our reception team can arrange the transfer with your previous practice.

        Please note: Your previous medical practice may charge
        a fee for releasing your records. Any fee is charged by the previous
        practice, not Southern Doctors Clinic.

Can I choose my doctor?

Yes. You can choose from the GPs accepting new patients when booking your appointment.

Can I book by phone?

Yes. Our reception team can assist you with booking on (02) 9789 5955.

Do I need to complete a registration form?

Yes. New patients need to complete our registration form before their first appointment.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We are an appointment-based practice and generally do not accept walk-ins. If you have an urgent medical concern, please contact our reception team so we can advise you on the most appropriate option.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring your Medicare card, concession card if applicable, and any relevant medication or medical information.

Can I see a specialist without seeing a GP first?

Specialist appointments generally require an appropriate referral. Please contact our reception team if you're unsure what you need before booking.

What happens if I need care outside your opening hours?

Our regular clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. For after-hours care, please visit our After-Hours Care page for current options.
