We understand that sometimes you need to see a GP while we are closed. That is why we have an after-hours service through SydMed that is available 365 days a year.

Sydney Medical Service (SydMed) offers home visits for treatment of illnesses requiring attention while we are closed such as urinary tract infections, gastroenteritis, migraine and acute headache, earache, fever and, for our elderly, ailments such as falls, acute delirium, cellulitis or respiratory tract infections.
The booking phone line for SydMed is open from 6:00 PM weekdays, 12:00 PM Saturday and 24 hours on Sunday and public holidays. Alternatively, you may download the smart phone App or book online via the online booking form
SydMed will provide a home visit by a qualified general practitioner during the hours they are operational as per below:
weeknights: 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Saturday: 12:00 PM onwards
Sunday and PH: 24 hours/day.
What happens when I see a SydMed doctor?
A medical report of each visit is forwarded to your regular doctor here at Southern Doctors Clinic. Pathology results will also be forwarded to your regular doctor here at Southern Doctors Clinic for follow-up.
What are the costs?
All patients that hold a current Medicare or Gold DVA card are bulk billed. Patients who do not have a valid Medicare or Gold Veteran Affairs card are charged a fee at the time of consultation. The fee is advised at the time of the booking. A receipt is issued for your insurance claims where accepted.
