My Results

Pathology and imaging results normally take between 2-7 days to return to us.

Pathology Results

Our preferred pathology lab is Douglass Hanly Moir (DHM). We are pleased to have a DHM collection room conveniently located on-site, making it easier for our patients to access essential tests without having to travel far.

Typically, blood test results take about 2-4 days to return, and during this time, we encourage all our patients to schedule a follow-up appointment with their doctor to discuss your results. This appointment can be telehealth or in-person at our clinic, whichever suits you best.

If your GP finds your results normal and no further discussion is needed, you may receive a copy of your results via email, regular mail, or a call from our friendly staff. If there are any abnormalities that need further discussion, we'll recall you for a follow-up appointment. For more information about our recall process, please visit our page Recalls or speak to one of our receptionists on (02) 9789 5955.

Imaging Results

Imaging (ultrasound, x-ray, CT etc) results usually take 2-7 days to return to us, and during this time, we encourage all patients to schedule a follow-up appointment with their doctor to discuss the results. This appointment can be telehealth or in-person at our clinic, whichever suits you both.

Please note that some imaging centres will send you a copy of your images. Although your images may be ready, the report that is sent to the GP is often not ready until 2-3 days after and is often sent to the referring GP - not the patient.

Similarly with pathology, if your GP finds your imaging results normal and that no futher discussion is necessary, you may receive a copy of your results via email, mail or via telephone with our staff. If any abnormalities are found, you will be recalled for a follow-up appointment. For more information about our recall process, please visit our page Recalls or speak to one of our receptionists on (02) 9789 5955.

Testing Fees

We often receive questions from patients about how much a certain test is going to cost them. Although our staff will try their best to provide you with an idea of how much a test or scan will cost, you are to ask the pathology or imaging centre directly for their fees.
